Cake Pop Train
This cake pop train was created for my twin boys’ birthday party. We made the cake pops in three flavors and colors to match the coloe scheme of the party. We covered photo boxes with wrapping paper and ribbon and filled them with styrofoam bricks and crinkle paper and then placed the cake pops in each box. I borrowed a Thomas the Tank toy from my boys’ toybox and placed it in front of the line. I also added some lollipops that I happened to find in the same color scheme as well as tags to identify the flavors. Everyone loved the presentation of the cake pops. It is the small details that take our spectacular cake pops to extraordinary heights. Get creative with your cake pop presentations. Halloween Treats
I absolutely love Halloween. Not so much the scary stuff, but I love the idea of dressing up and indulging in fun and especially sweets. Growing up I was the kind of kid that spent her allowance on candy. My parents always decorated our house and invited all the family over for trick or treating. Now I’m grown and I get my children ready for Halloween and they love sweets just as much as I do. As much as I enjoy taking them trick or treating, I do miss getting special treats myself. That got me to thinking that there must be other adults that miss getting special treats too! So I made some special cake pops, red velvet ghosts and pumpkin spice jackolanterns, and wrapped them up as gifts for my adult friends and family. I also carried some in my purse to give to anyone who gave me good service where ever I went. Needless to say, the look on their faces when they received their pops reminded me of how I felt as a child on Halloween. It’s the little things we do that make a difference in someone’s day. That is what makes this a happy halloween for me.

Wedding Cake Bites
Creative Cake Bites was in beautiful Sonoma this weekend creating a purple cake bite display at a wedding held at Jacuzzi Winery. The bride and groom have long been fans of my cake bites and wanted something different in lieu of a traditional wedding cake. We did a cake bite tasting and they chose double chocolate, red velvet, and very vanilla as their flavors. They wanted them to be placed in a tiered display and accented with purple. So we created a custom tiered display using different hues of purple and made the cake bites in the chosen flavors and decorated them with different designs. We made special bride and groom cake bites for the top tier. The table was also decorated with purple and white candles and accented with the same flowers used throughout the reception. The bride and groom absolutely loved how the cake bite display looked. When it came time to “cut the cake”, the bride and groom fed each other a cake bite. It was an adorable moment. We received many compliments from the guests on how yummy they were and I did notice a lot of people taking pictures. It was so much fun creating something special for the bride and groom. I even made some special boxes for the bride and groom to enjoy before the wedding and a very special box for them to enjoy together after the wedding. I hope to create more special memories for happy couples in the future.
Amazing Dessert Tables
So I have been viewing some amazing dessert tables and I thought why not create one featuring cake bites and accenting it with other sweet creations. This dessert table is what I came up with for my new baby’s presentation party. We didn’t know what we were having so we opted not to have a baby shower but to have a party after the baby was born where we could present her to family and friends. I love daisies and our new baby is so full of life so I went with a bright pink and orange color scheme and incorporated daisies into the table. I made a variety of flavors and decorated each one differently using the theme colors. I also made chocolate covered pretzels and added madelines and orange and pink wrapped candies placed in large glass vessels. All of our guests were blown away at the presentation and needless to say there were no cake bites left at the end of the night. It was so much fun creating this table for my daughter, even though she can’t have cake bites yet. This table was so popular that I am now working on another dessert table for a client who is having a construction themed 3rd birthday party for her son.
